Hey {{first_name}},

As I said in my last email, things are changing this year in my business. I’m approaching this transformation gently to allow for an organic unfolding with no force and no restraint 🌀 I imagined this to happen gradually, but the ease with which the changes have been flowing rather swiftly has been very pleasing to me.

Therefore, I have an update to share:

My business, Capella Cora LLC, is becoming Art of Wise Child

Art of Wise Child will essentially be the same business as Capella Cora, but the expression of it will look, and hopefully feel, as well as be received, a bit differently.

⭐️ Current clients, don’t panic. I intend to continue working with you. If any changes need to be made to our agreement or work together, we’ll discuss it in private soon.

I’m hitting pause on taking on new clients for the time being, until this transformation feels complete to me. The way I work with future clients will be different. I’m at present setting aright the foundation for a more sustainable structure to grow within and around.

Most excitingly, alongside client work, I’m ending the long hiatus of my personal creative practices and bringing them into the light. The primary work of Art of Wise Child will eventually manifest as sacred visions and teachings distilled into textiles (embroidery and weaving) and incense made by my hands. More on this to come, but for now I extend the invitation to you to follow me as I pack up my things from this current shell and move into a roomier, better designed and built chariot that awaits.

In the new structure of my business, simplification will be key. Therefore, even though I’ve loved Beehiiv, and may one day come back to it if it becomes necessary, I’m leaving it behind for now and moving this email list to Substack. Actually, I’m not really moving there. I’ve already been posting all of my emails to both Beehiiv and Substack. I’m simply now only posting to Substack. If you’re on my list here, I’ve updated my list there as well so there is nothing for you to do unless you wish to unsubscribe, which you can do at the bottom of any email.

All of my previous emails will remain available on Substack but a new structure for what and how I post is being introduced. If you remain a subscriber, this is what you’ll have access to:

Art of Wise Child on Substack

My posts will be distributed among three different sections, or newsletters: Doran Diaries, Sacred Business, and Movement Practice.

As a subscriber you are automatically subscribed to receive posts from each section, however you have the option to manage your preferences for which types of posts you’d like to receive from me, here.

Here are descriptions of each newsletter:

  • Doran Diaries: The life and trials of a spiritual traveler straddling the threshold of light and shadow.

Doran, a word I’ve always loved, was coined by Monica Furlong for her books Wise Child, Juniper, and Colman. You’ll hear me talk about these books a lot as I consider them (Juniper and Wise Child especially) the most sacred of texts that I own. They set me on my path at 12 years old and have guided and shaped my becoming since then. The word doran is used in these books to describe someone who lives on the threshold between realities: shadow and light, mundane and magical, etc. The doran’s path equips one to live in tune with the seasons, and not just the seasons of nature (spring, summer, autumn, winter) but also in rhythm with the flow of life and its many waxing and waning, abundant and harsh phases.

  • Sacred Business: All the wisdom and know-how I have to share on business as a valid avenue for spiritual practice and growth. Learn how to establish an equilibrium between sacred work and business strategy.

  • Movement Practice: As a certified yoga teacher also trained in various other modalities, movement is important to me. Movement however is more than just a practice for improving physical mobility and strength. Movement done intentionally and intelligently also exercises the mind, heals the heart, and clarifies the connection with one’s soul. In my personal view it is an essential element to include in a holistic approach to life, work, and service.

For now, everything I post will be free. I’m considering introducing a paid tier eventually but that’s not a definite at this time. For now I’m just seeing how things go. No forcing, no restraining.

On Susbtack I also intend to offer classes and workshops either for free to subscribers or behind a paid tier (likely only $8 per month). We’ll see.

What you can do to help and support me

  1. Please update my email ([email protected]) in your contacts to [email protected]. If you contact me at the former email, that’s okay, it will still get to me, but please be aware that I’ll be sending emails from the new address.

⭐️ If you are a current client, for now we’ll still communicate via the former address until our contracts are updated.

  2. Give me feedback. Comments and feedback are always encouraged and so useful, plus they help us stay connected with each other. I’ve got new ideas in the works to test out and if you stay on my email list you’ll receive invites to be a case study. Testing things out and receiving feedback will allow me to improve my understanding of how I can best serve the creatives and small businesses I’m aiming to help. 🧡

  3. If you like it, share it. If you like anything I write, make, or do, here or elsewhere, please share it 🙏 and tag me so I see it. Testimonials are welcome and extremely helpful, always.
